NEW FOSSIL FOUND

Scientists have discovered  fossils of what they say is a 375 million year old creature with scales (commonly called a fish). These scientists are reporting that the creature (fish) is the long sought after "missing link" between water creatures (fish) and life that walks on four limbs on land (not fish).

The skeletons have fins, scales, and other attributes of a fish four to nine feet long (just like a fish). The creature (fish), named Tiktaalik, which means "large shallow water fish" (note the word "fish"), is reported to have the beginnings of digits, wrists, elbows and shoulders. According to the scientists, the joints of the fins appeared (read "if you want to see something, keep looking until you see it") to have the ability to facilitate movement on land. These scientists said in all likelyhood (read "we can't be sure, but this is the story we made up, and we're sticking to it") Tiktaalik pulled itself out of the stream it lived in to take brief sojourns onto dry land (appearantly just to see how the "other" animals lived).
